Wordless Wednesday Interrupted

January 18, 2012 by Ty Leave a Comment

My Wordless Wednesday is interrupted for an important announcement about SOPA and PIPA.

Secretary Mommy says there are naughty Congress and Senate people who want to eat the internet. They made Acts that go too far and would make it easy for your favorite sites to be shut down because, instead of politely asking sites like You Tube to please remove a copyright violation or even a perceived violation that really isn’t one, a company can just make them turn off. Then my little dog with no tail videos would be lost!!!  And my Facebooky page could get eaten too, because a single person posting something they shouldn’t could shut down the entire site!  It also would make things hard for the internet peoples who would have to block them.

It is very upsetting and I am scared of losing all my Facebook and bloggy space friends! You can sign a petition asking them not to eat the internet here: https://www.google.com/landing/takeaction/

And you can read lots of big words about it here:

http://news.cnet.com/8301-31921_3-57329001-281/how-sopa-would-affect-you-faq/

and here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Online_Piracy_Act

Better yet, call or write to those silly Congress and Senate peoples and ask them not to eat the internet. It really won’t taste very good for anyone.

Secretary Mommy’s note: Please take the concerns about SOPA and PIPA seriously. While the goal of the Acts is good, the solution that they seek to get there is not. Get informed, call or write to your representatives, and speak out. Thanks!

November 3, 2010 by Ty 1 Comment

I thinks the best way to picks a perfect puppy is to get one with no tail. But I might be a little bit biased about that. But here is a free ebook for you if you are thinking about getting a puppy.

The news story (linked below) on this is very sad. Guinness fled the scene of his family’s car accident on I-80, exit 64 last Friday, July 30th. His family is desperately trying to find him.

From the Newton Daily News Article: Guinness is a black-faced, tri-color male Corgi, and is micro-chipped to Lake Shore Pembroke Welsh Corgi Rescue in Crystal Lake, Ill.

If anyone finds a Corgi fitting that description, they can call the Jasper County Animal Rescue League at 792-5407, or call Debbie Haulk at Northeast Iowa Pet Rescue, at (563) 370-1138

Found Corgi in Shorewood, IL. Do You Know This Dog?

July 30, 2010 by Ty 2 Comments

This is a little dog with no tail public service announcement! When Secretary Mommy was out runnings this morning she saw this sign about a found corgi dog in Shorewood, IL!

In case you can’t read the picture, it says that a friendly, well-groomed, mostly white (looks fawn to me), male Corgi with a collar but no tags was found on Saturday July 24 in Shorewood, IL on Parkside Drive in the Walnut Trails subdivision next to Del Webb.  For information or to claim him, call Joliet Animal Control, 2807 McDonough, 815-725-0333.

Here is a closer look at his picture. I thinks he has a tail! He might be mixed with some yellow lab too. It is hard to tell.

If you know this dog please contact Joliet Animal Control at the information above.
