Taking Care of My Molly

August 10, 2009 by Ty 10 Comments

My Molly suddenly got sick last week. We were all very scared because she had vet tests that found a big tumor on her spleen. They did surgery the next day and took the whole spleen out. It was just in time, because the tumor had ruptured, but it stayed contained in a membrane instead of bleeding out. They didn’t find any obvious cancers, but we have to wait to know for sure until a special test is done. I would tell you more about it, but I’m just a little dog with no tail and I don’ts know how to spell biopsy.

The Molly is home now, but she has to rest, so I gave her my closet to heal in. She keeps it much tidier than I do. I gave her my puppy blanket too. It is in the back.

I like to lay down by my closet and visit with the Molly.

I have to be careful with the Molly now and can’t do jumps on her while she heals. I hopes she gets better soon because it isn’t as fun doing jumps on my Mommy and Daddy.  Mommy says she hopes the Molly gets better soon too because the Molly is a good babysitter.  I don’t know what she means by that though since there aren’t any babies around here.

Ty, I know you will do a good job taking care of the Molly! It’s so nice that you are sharing your closet and blanket with her. I know it must be sad that you can’t do jumps on her, but she will be all better very soon and I know she’ll be so happy when you can do your jumps on her, too!

Oh no… Molly I’m thinking of you. I’ll pass the word along the dog telly vine about you and we’ll all be barking and howling to your quick recovery.

Ty, My mommy is having troubles now too. She says she misses her babysitters. Hmmm… we don’t have any babies either. What are they talking about?!?

Ty, that is so very sweet of you to let the Molly stay in your closet and use your blanket while she heals. I hope she gets better real soon!

I hope Molly gets better soon. I’ll say a prayer that there will be no cancer.

Perhaps a few new toys would help with the babysitting while Molly is busy healing…
