Visiting PAWS Chicago
Posted on October 23rd, 2009 3 commentsMommy visited PAWS Chicago right before her marathon race to see the doggies and kitties that she was running for. This doggy was in the window. If you visit PAWS you can ask how much he costs to adopt!
This kitty has only one ear, but he could still hear really well. Remember the pirate cat that I wanted? He got adopted!
At Paws, kitties and doggies don’t have expiration dates.
Mommy also saw a corgi at PAWS, but guess what? That doggie had a tail! I wonder where she found it? I sometimes look for a tail, but I can’t find one.

Help Mommy Raise Money For PAWS Chicago
Posted on October 2nd, 2009 4 commentsMommy is running a super long way on October 11 to raise money for the PAWS Chicago animal shelter and spay/neuter clinic. She is running much farther than my little dog with no tail legs can go—she is going a whole 26.2 miles! She is running in honor of the Molly because she is a shelter doggie.
Mommy still needs to raise a lot of moneys to meet her obligation to PAWS. Can you help? If so, please go to Mommy’s donation page. Even a donation as small as a dollar helps! Please help the PAWS doggies and kitties!

Mommy’s Half Marathon Race
Posted on August 6th, 2009 4 commentsMommy ran a Half Marathon last Sunday as a charity runner for PAWS Chicago. Here she is crossing the finish line and with her medal. Her chip time was 2:32:37. I’m really proud of my Mommy. I can do lots of runs around the yard, but I can’t walk more than a couple of blocks when I go out with Mommy.

When Mommy got home, I taste tested her medal. I bet I could make the ribbon look prettier by putting some shreds in it!
I tried it on for size too.
Then I tried to take it away to my closet so I could work on fixing the ribbon, but Mommy made me give it back.
Mommy plans to run the Chicago Marathon for PAWS in October. You can donate for her charity cause here.

Mommy’s Visit with Arrrgh the Pirate Cat at PAWS Chicago
Posted on August 3rd, 2009 7 commentsMommy visited PAWS Chicago last week for a pre-race pawsta party for the PAWS charity runners. Mommy ran the Rock-n-Roll Chicago Half Marathon for them and she is running the Chicago Marathon in October. I am Mommy’s doggie publicist. You can donate for her cause here.
While at PAWS, Mommy visited with some homeless doggies and kitties. Here is a little doggie who got neutered like I did, so he is wearing a cone while he waits for a home. PAWS also has a low income spay/ neuter program and feral cat spay and release program.
Here is one of the kitty rooms. PAWS has very nice rooms for their kitties while they wait for homes. Their whole facility is cageless.
And here is Arrrgh the Pirate Cat. That isn’t really his name. It is just what Mommy would name him if Daddy would let us take him home, because he only has one eye like a pirate. But Daddy said no, we can’t have a pirate cat. Mommy says he better be adopted by the next pawsta party or he just might have to come live with us! Mommy really, really likes him.
Mommy enjoyed visiting PAWS and getting encouragement for her race!
I’ll post more about Mommy’s Half Marathon race later this week.

Mommy’s Running a Marathon for Charity!
Posted on June 12th, 2009 8 commentsMy Mommy is running the Chicago Marathon in October to raise money for PAWS of Chicago. The Molly and I are helping her! The Molly is Mommy’s spokes model and I am Mommy’s doggie publicist. I did some storms in my little dog brain and thought of these three things that might be persuasive in a fundraising dog blog post.
First: Be Informative: PAWS Chicago is a large no-kill animal shelter in the city of Chicago. So they help animals like the Molly, who used to live in a shelter, get homes. PAWS also has a spay and neuter clinic and a feral cat spay and release program. Mommy says that spaying and neutering is good and I get to be neutered soon. I don’t know what that is, but I hopes it is fun! I thinks all kitties and doggies should have forever homes and be able to be spayed an neutered. If you donate, it will help with that. You can donate here!
Second: Use Cute Photos: Those might make people want to donate moneys because of the cuteness of it all. I bet if you give moneys, PAWS Chicago will sometime help a cute little dog with no tail get a forever home where their belly can get scratched like mine! You can donate here!
Third: Just in Case the Others Don’t Work, Add Pleading and Guilt: My Mommy has to raise at least $600 for PAWS of Chicago. If she doesn’t, they will charge it to the magic plastic card that gets me toys and boney chewy treats. If that happens, Mommy won’t have any moneys left to buy me those. I might cry for days without my boney chewy treats! You don’t want that on your conscious do you? Pleeeaaaaseee!!!! Please donate here!!!!
Did it work? Will you donate? If you can’t affords to donate, will you tell some other peoples to read my blog post about it? The Molly and I would appreciate it. Thanks!
P.S. Are you a blogger or business and want some exposure and/or free advertising? Visit My Charity Donation Page to learn more about how you and your website can be featured on Puppy on a Roomba or on Mommy’s websites if you donate.
