Yesterday I told you about the mystery tree shredder. Here I am with one of the bark shreds that it left.
It was a Grey Squirrel! Grey Squirrels shred bark to get at the moisture and sap underneath, we learned more about it at Scary Squirrel World. They can damage trees and even kill little ones. It is a good thing that our trees are big so that they can handle it. I fear, however, that if they don’t stop, my squirrel friends might start getting taxi rides to the riverside park the same way that my chipmunk friends do.
I always suspected that squirrels were a little bit Bad!

Cat Lady, if you hit the animal friends category, that will put the post about Daddy’s animal taxi in the first page. Daddy runs a nice animal taxi service. He even gives them snacks!
